  Astrophysicist turned AI engineer.

  Ex-NASA and University of Chicago, building physics-informed machine learning across aerospace, astrophysics and intelligence — petabyte-scale streaming pipelines in Chile, embedded AI at CERN and NASA, and onboard machine learning for CubeSats. Specializing in deploying machine learning for environments where the data cannot move — federated architectures, and AI deployed on uncrewed platforms for the defense and intelligence community. She founded Legion to build AI made for space rather than adapted to it.

  Dr. Sabrina Thompson

  CTO

  Fourteen years flying NASA missions.

  Led flight dynamics at NASA Goddard's Navigation and Mission Design Branch, on missions including the Magnetospheric Multiscale Mission — four spacecraft flying in formation at separations of a few kilometres, among the most demanding coordinated flight regimes ever operated. Co-developer of the HARP polarimeter CubeSat. PhD, Atmospheric Physics.
